CHARISTA　｜　駐輪場　( 2015 )

Transforming an unused, idle space into a bicycle parking area helps to combat the serious shortage of places for cyclists to legally park in the city. We handled the art direction of a bicycle parking lot located in Tokyo, near Shimo-igusa station on the Seibu-Shinjuku Line. Using yellow, the operatingcompany’s current color, we created a design that easily stands out in the busy streets and can quickly catch the eye of the cyclists. The aim was to make an area that cyclists will grow attached to and use frequently.

駅前の遊休地活用の選択肢としても有効な自転車専用のパーキング化は、不足する駐輪場と増加する自転車の違法駐車を解決する。西武新宿線下井草駅すぐの駐輪場のアートディレクション。運営する企業のコーポレートカラーを用い、自転車で走行する人でも目にとまりやすく一目で駐輪場とわかることと、日々の利用の中で愛着がうまれるような印象を想像した。
